Donnacha has been riding horses and ponies from about the same time he started to walk, he competed in showjumping, hunting and eventing on ponies throughout his youth before moving up to horses. After sucessfully graduating from the University of Limerick in 1990 with a diploma in Equine Science, he made the decision to work with horses full time. It is his passion and his life. He has built up Ballytiglea Equine over the last 2 decades from scratch and learned his trade in a tough and unforgiving business and now he is a highly respected horseman, trainer, coach. If you want to know about showjumping horses, hunting horses, just about anything to do with horses, Donnacha is your man and you can be sure of a warm welcome at his family run professional stables just outside the beautiful village of Borris in south County Carlow.

Kylie Lyman Dermody

American born Kylie Lyman Dermody grew up in West Hartford, Vermont USA and started her competitive life at Hitching Post Farm in South Royalton, Vermont. She went on to work for US Olympian Robert Costello for several years before setting out on her own to train for the Nichols’ family Tom White Hill Farm. Kylie has produced horses through the 1.40m level in show jumping but her true passion is eventing where she has produced horses through the CIC*** level, including Boyd Martins 2014 WEG hopeful Trading Aces. In 2011 Kylie won the Fair Hill CCI** with Trading Aces, winning the USEF 6/7 Year Old Championships where barn mate Garrison Flash finished 3rd in the 6/7 year olds, and 9th overall. Also in 2011 Kylie was named to the USEF Developing Riders’ List with both horses and participated in team training sessions under Capt. Mark Phillips and Lauren Hough. Newly married, Kylie has relocated to join Donnacha in Ireland and has begun to rebuild a string of horses with the continued support of the Nichols’ family, along with new owners, and  horses of her own.
